About Sutib 12.5 Capsule

Sutib 12.5 Capsule is a medication prescribed for the treatment of kidney cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. The active ingredient in Sutib 12.5 Capsule is sunitinib, which belongs to a class of medications known as Protein Kinase Inhibitors. This medicine works by blocking specific enzymes that play a role in the growth of cancer cells, thereby slowing down tumor progression and causing cancer cell death through inhibiting angiogenesis, the development of blood supply to cancer cells.

Patients are advised to take Sutib 12.5 Capsule as directed by their doctor. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day for maximum benefits. Dosage and frequency will be determined by the healthcare provider based on the specific condition being treated and may vary over time. It is crucial to follow the doctor's instructions carefully to avoid serious side effects.

Common side effects of Sutib 12.5 Capsule may include weakness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, taste changes, decreased appetite, difficulty breathing, high blood pressure, swelling, mouth pain or sores, dry mouth, upset stomach, and various other symptoms. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, thyroid function, and blood sugar levels is recommended while taking this medication. Patients with heart disease, liver or kidney issues, bleeding disorders, or other medical conditions should inform their healthcare team before starting treatment.

Sutib 12.5 Capsule should not be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Effective contraception is essential for both males and females during treatment to prevent pregnancy. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years old and should be used cautiously in elderly patients over 65. Patients are advised to avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication and to refrain from driving or operating heavy machinery if experiencing dizziness.

Before starting Sutib 12.5 Capsule, patients should inform their doctor of any existing medical conditions, surgeries, allergies, or medications being taken, as interactions can occur. Regular monitoring through blood tests, blood pressure checks, and other evaluations may be necessary during the course of treatment. If any side effects persist or worsen, it is important to seek medical advice promptly.
