About Acease 20mg Tablet

Acease 20mg Tablet is a medication that works by reducing the production of acid in the stomach. It is commonly used to treat conditions related to stomach and intestinal acidity such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This medicine not only alleviates symptoms but also aids in the healing process of these conditions.

It is recommended to take Acease 20mg Tablet about an hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dosage will vary based on your specific condition and individual response to the medication. To ensure effectiveness, it is important to take it consistently at the same time each day as directed by your healthcare provider. Even if your symptoms improve quickly, it's crucial to continue the prescribed regimen.

Common side effects of Acease 20mg Tablet may include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, and stomach pain. While these side effects are typically mild, it is advisable to consult your doctor if they persist or become bothersome. Prolonged usage of this medication, especially at higher doses over more than a year, may increase the risk of bone fractures. Your doctor may recommend calcium and vitamin D supplements to counteract potential bone loss (osteoporosis).

Long-term use of Acease 20mg Tablet may also lead to low blood magnesium levels (hypomagnesemia) after three months or more of treatment. Symptoms of low magnesium levels may include tiredness, confusion, dizziness, muscle twitches, and irregular heartbeat. To prevent this, your doctor may monitor your magnesium levels regularly.

Before taking Acease 20mg Tablet, it is essential to inform your healthcare provider if you have severe liver issues, are on HIV medications, have a history of allergic reactions to similar drugs, or are at risk of bone loss (osteoporosis). Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult their doctor before starting this medication. Alcohol consumption is not recommended as it can increase stomach acid production and exacerbate symptoms. Additionally, if the medication causes dizziness or drowsiness, refrain from driving or operating machinery.
